Squats are a staple in any well rounded training program, and for good reason! They build strength, capacity, bone density, and many more benefits.
There are many variations on squats, too. They don’t have to be with a barbell or at your max capacity.
Today we are going to do pause squats. To do pause squats:
set up like you would your regular squat
brace your torso at a hard neutral
pull the bar into your back and shrug into it
sit to your squat position
pause at the bottom for your goal number of seconds
drive straight up WITHOUT dipping down first
Do 5-10 squats here, pausing 3 seconds at the bottom. You can do this! Take them one at a time.
