Good morning on this pretty Monday, yall! Today we are going to do a variation of a goblet squat with one and a half squats. This is a combo of a full range of motion squat and a half squat.
To do the one and a half squat:
-hold the dumbbell or kettlebell at your chest
-press elbows toward each other and keep trunk tight and neutral
-break at the hips to initiate squat
-sit deep into heels
-squeeze big toe into the ground as you stand HALFWAY up
-descend in control to your bottom position of the squat again
-drive through your whole foot and squeeze your big toe as you squat ALL THE WAY up
That is one rep. Repeat this, squatting halfway up, then all the way up, for a total of 8-10 reps. Be patient and work hard through this, because these really add up.
